I just finished tuning a set of this falls huNting/practice arrows. I always wondered how bare shafting would work. Here is what I did.
1. Get finish on arrows as well as points full length. 32 in.
2. Shot them. The first round they were really weak at 20 yards. They shot 2 foot to the right ( I am right handed).
3. I took points off and cut .25 inches off them till they were near where I was aiming at 20 yards.
4. Backed out to 25 then 30 yards. Had to cut another 3/8 inch off them.
After all this the arrows hit where aiming at 30 yards if my release is good.
Tomorrow I will begin fletching them. Btw, one of the arrows had to be cut 1/2 shorter than the rest cause I hit wood and busted off tip .it shoots a bit stiff. Surprising how half inch makes it shoot stiff.
Hope someone else can use this to get clean arrow flight. Now I just gotta get within 20 yards of a deer
