Don't worry about that. If you are concernced you can heat it up with your gun and tweak it. I wouldn't mess with it. Looking good. The string HAS to lay down the center, not just cross the handle somewhere. Looks nice.

i meant the actual recurve is 1/2" longer, i didnt push it all the way into the form.

i removed alot of wood from the belly to make the string alignment easier. i should have it done tonight.

Ok guys, i got the string to pass over the handle but the twist is still there. Am i good or should i attempt to get the twist fully out for the forth time lol

That twist is driving me crazy, it keeps going back. I'll be more drastic this time and leave it in the jig longer.

Time in the jig wont help. Pour more heat to it and over bend it farther. When its cool to the touch, usually within an hour, its where it will be.

Don't hurry it and don't try to cheat it, it will let you know later. Get it right before you do any bending at all.
