i live in tulsa ok. see alot of bamboo growing wild want to use it but i dont know what kind is good for backing.

also do make sure you select the mature boo, scarpe off the rind and ensure that the color is dark brown in color, the light color is no use.(young)

When you cut Boo it will not be brown unless it's dead.If it's brown avoid it.Cut it green and split it into quarters to dry.You can expose it to the sun and it will turn brown.just don't try to dry it fast or it will start splitting and checking.
