My Latest Woodspirit
« on: September 07, 2013, 12:49:51 am »
I decided to butcher another piece of sourwood.  The 3D effect with the hair worked out pretty good.  I think the next one will be a rattlestick, just for the challenge.  It was hard to carve it all in and maintain enough strength in the wood to make it a sturdy and fully functional stick.

Yes Sir!

I like it!

Been reading and thinking of doing some "Green Man" carving.
Looking at the historical carvings of the Wood Spirit and Green Man, some of them were Amazing.

Cool Stuff Indeed.

Thanks everybody.  I have been thinking of the green man myself.  I need to find a good supply of cottonwood bark to play around with.  The green man don't have to be on that type of wood, I just want to try some of it.
