Does a bow from a twisted stave shoot any worse than a straight grained one? I realize it would complicate the making but if you just went with it would the bow turn out OK?

Shouldn't affect it at all so long as it is properly made, witch  generally includes removing twist

Twist is very easy to remove.

Too much twist and the string won't stay in the nocks and the limbs wont bend straight back when you draw it

Short answer is yes the bow will still shoot fine, as long as the twist is natural, not excessive, and not put in during the building process.

Any twist up to 90 degrees total is workable, but difficult, anything past that is probably firewood.

Or needs a little untwisting. IMO it's easier to take out twist than to straighten a limb.

From what I have gathered a heat gun and a caul with shims is an easy way to remove twist and induce reflex at the same time and straighten it. I had a twisted stave that needs twist removed and that's what was advised to me just haven't got around to it yet.

A twisted stave can be tillered to draw and shoot straight, or it can have the twist removed. Sometimes laying out the bow slightly diagonal on the log to follow the twist can haelp.
IMO often the solution is a little of each.

NOW he tells me.  I have broken all 6 of my last hypothetical bows. Even ended up with a hypothetical knot on my head when I forgot to wear my hypothetical autographed Del the Cat yellow hardhat.
