Thanks fellas! 45 hrs and no checks yet.  Half of that time in direct sunlight with a fender so hot you don't want to lay your forearm on it radiating heat on it.   I MIGHT just get away with this excercise in foolishness.  Lol!  I probably just jynxed myself.  Josh

To speed things up just change your rout through Arizona!  Now there's one big caul and hotbox!  Good luck Josh.

Cool idea, Josh! If you're already puttin in the miles, you might as well get some perks. No better one than dried staves!!
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Lol! I was down there not to long ago.  Had I tried this then, I probably would have Osage charcoal instead of a stave!  Southern AZ is hard on a fat man!

Long hauler....well we'll see.  It might be named kindling!  Lol!

It's been 72 hrs and no checks.  I pulled it out and checked the stiffness of floor tiller, its already double what it was when I reduced it.   Its holding most of the shape now, but still tries to pull into reflex.  I'm assuming that is because the back is still wet.  Hopefully, when the back dries, it will keep the R/D shape.  Thanks for looking,  Josh
