Unsuccessful bear hunt

Bored at work so I thought I'd post some pics of southwest Oregon in case someone wants to see some country.
I once took an old-timer, veteran hunter on a hunt here and he said it was the roughest country he'd ever seen. Everthing is straight up and down so all the old roads and trails are on the ridges, which aren't very wide. I can't imagine tracking a wounded animal but I was willing to attempt it.
Its steep and the jungle makes Borneo look like the Serengeti.
No bears and the bugs were bad.

Steep. Some trophy oceanspray and the last pic shows the berries lining both sides of the trail. At least the berry bushes as there were few ripe berries on them.

Bummer that you didn't see any bear. Better luck with the elk and deer.

If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?
