48 hrs long enough?

Is 48 hours long enough for snakeskin/TBIII to cure before applying tru oil?  Sure seems dry, but I can wait another day of necessary.  Turned out great, I think.  Thanks for the advice.

I like to wait a week or two just to make sure I don't seal in any moisture.  That's just the way I do it.

Recall my comment, OO knows snake skins................I've only done two and I let them dry two days.  They seamed OK.  All pending humidity, did mine in the winter.

I'd wait a few days, at least. Snakeskin is very much waterproof, so it's practically a certainty that there is still moisture from the glue trapped under there, in the wood, etc. You want to seal moisture out, not in. Patience is a virtue, but in bowmaking it's also a necessity. I'd put it in my drying box and work on something else for a few days.

I'm not saying its the best or only way.  Its just how I do it.  I don't get in to much of a hurry building bows so I give stuff plenty of time.
