Hickory backed red oak board bow

So I went a bought a 6' red oak board. Nice straight grain with a slight swirl in the center. That will be my handle. How think should the hickory be? I plan on gluing them together then ripping the excess hickory on my table saw. It's 1.5" wide and 3/4" thick. Any one with any dimensions for a 60" bow

1/8" back, 5/8" core at glue up. 1.5" wide is a narrow unless your only planning to pull it 23-25".

what draw length and weight are you aiming for?

If you have to go 1 1/2" keep the bow long.

Well maybe ill just have to use this one for handles and ill grab a new board. I have English walnut. Would that make a bow if backed with hickory
