Albo demo

A friend of mine gave a knapping demo to a group of professors from Gainsville and the Southwest Archaeological society .They wanted to see how the Neanderthals would have made blades. He ( Claude Van Order) used raw Ocala formation rock.He used only hamerstones and he didn't isolate any platforms . This was an interesting demo and the blades he produced were a sharp uni-faced tool. Here's a shot of him knocking some spalls out to work on .check out the tools lying to his right

I would have loved to see the demo, I have never seen Claude at work but have heard nothing but good on his spectacular work.

I've definitely shot a lot of his points into the woods around Florida for 30 something, years.
