Russell"s bow
« on: July 28, 2013, 03:08:31 pm »
Hi guys,
Here is a bow that I made for a good friend of mine in exchange for his help cutting some osage last year. I got the stave from Marty at the Maryjam in Feb. This bow was probably the hardest  to tiller to date. It has that rippling "sand dune" effect on the back that made getting a consistant taper insanely hard. But it turned out quite well and shoots hard and fast with almost no handshock or sound. 65" ntn 47#@29". I lightly heat tempered the belly because I really like the way it brings out the grain. The ink drawings are of his tattoos he wanted on the bow.  Tips are ebony. Thanks for looking,   Cody

Super fine bow in all aspects, got that WOW factor going on there. Looks like Russell's getting the full 29" draw
out of her too. You sure don't make any clunkers  Cody. ;)
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.
