I'm glad you're "OK" and i'm sorry to hear about the bow, but this has actually been an entertaining thread to read (knowing that everyone is OK of course). For some reason this line made me chuckle: "Haze and confusion along with blurred vision after a blow to the head can be an indication you are gonna get dead soon."

That's straight from WebMD. Sorry for the loss. I understand that feeling of "I've got to get this done no matter how long it takes or how little sleep I get. I get the mindset from time time......typically mine is not preceeded by a severe concussion but I get it. Good luck with your build and I'm with most of the others. I'm sure most of the guys would be willing to wait a little longer. Poop happens.  :-\

I copied this straight from Web MD

WebMD

Confusion
Blurred vision

Yes.......Bourbon and power tools.....That'll fix it right up.

Bourbon might also be the cause of the blurred vision and haze to begin with.

Good Grief Y'all...

Do I really have to say it?

You don't mix Bourbon with Power Tools...

It's Fine Aged Tequila, a Fine Cigar and Power Tools that equals Success!

So why do those tips look all finished up and shiney and yet you where scraping and messing it with it? Did the tiller change after the initial "it's done and time to seal"?
Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize we cannot eat money.

I'm with ya Pearl,I know lot of folks that love the finish work so good they do all of that before it is really a bow.  :) Maybe they are just surer of their work than I am of mine. :) :) :) Make for bigger heart breaks.  ;) :)

I may have been a little hasty at laying up finish, or else I was too aggressive sanding out the fades area because when it was time to take the photos of the bow at full draw on the tillering tree it looked hinged.  And I came unhinged.  I didn't wanna send it out looking like that so I was indulging in my favorite past time....fixing something to death.

I have made a keychain fob out of the remaining tip.
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.
