I will readily admit some have been sting-kers.

Oh hey, Iowabow!  I went and worked my hives this morning.  Numbers 3 and 4 have finally 70+% fill in the upper hive bodies, so we added queen excluders and honey supers to them.  The #1 and #2 hives were the ones that were failing and both lost queens.  They have been combined and a new queen introduced.  We added a frame of capped brood from another healthy hive to help them along, too.  Doesn't look like much for new brood in the hive, but it has only been about 10 days, too.  We have a fantastic bloom of alfalfa in the field next to the hives and the guy isn't able to get back to town to cut it for another 10 days so we should be experiencing a nice honey flow!!!

For those of you not interested in bees, I apologize for waxing eloquent about them.
