Go tot the Build along section and search "overlays". You will get all the reading you want.

I have been adding an extra groove to my overlays for a simple bow stringer. I widen the lower string groove on the lower limb so the stringer loop can fit over the bow string in the groove.

My horn-tipped longbow I got from TMK has this.
I have considered it multiple times on other bows... and decided it wasn't worth it- they are not overlays, but close, so all I had to do was just slip it into the wrapped nock... ill take a pic and let it explain.

Looks like Mesquite on the overlays Eric????  Curious as I have a set planned for a bow I'm working on now.  Wondering how it looks works etc...  Good lookin' either way.

Eric,
I like the double string nocks. Do you do it on the top bottom or both limbs?  I am thinking on doing it on top limb on the next bow.  I can see a boot and loop stringer working very well and not stressing the bow.
Thanks
