it is strange in that the bumps are at a angle across the stave which is probably better than being horizontal, but it is challenging. I have high hopes for this stave, the other gave me my first primitive elk.

That clears things up.  Couldn't figure out what was going on looking at that upper limb belly.  That is looking good.  8)

got to work on this some today. scraped down the limbs and got it bending some more, put on the long string, still a ways to go but now comes the hard part, seeing where it is stiff with all those curves.

the stave master is really handy to work the limbs. here is a pic of the waves getting more pronounced...surfs up...

Wow, coming along great! What a beauty.  Are you finding any limb twist as you are reducing the limbs?

each limb has some twist going opposite directions, one seems to be straightening out some but the other still has a good twist to it, will see what happens as we get her bending more, still really stout.

I just tied 2 strings together, didnt want a lot of extra dangling.

 this string is longer than usual because I didnt have one that would work so I tied a couple together and didnt want a lot of extra string dangling. no other reason really.
