Here's a bow I got done recently. It came out pretty nice I think. I glued in maybe 2" reflex, and it kept about 1 1/2" right after unstringing. I think it was 2" I glued in, might of been 2 1/2", I never measured it actually. It's a bamboo yellow heart ipe trilam, 71" from nock to nock, 67# @ 28", 85# @ 32". I'm liking bamboo on an elb, it seems to work pretty nice and hold good perry reflex. Here's some pics:

Well done!  Your part of a circle tiller looks good and the finish work on the horn tips is very nice too. I've done a few horn nocks and they suck!.  ;D

What I do to make the nocks all shiny is take one of those burnishing wheels and stick it in my hand drill and use it on the nocks with some burnishing cream. I do that on my horn overlays too anymore. Thank you by the way!

That is nothing but super cool.  I want one and I want one now >:(

My theory about the cat is reinforced here--once again the cat disappears when the bow gets strung. ::)

Haha, your right! We got some smart kittys we do.  ;D Now if it was del the cat, and you strung a bow up... he would probably show right up...

Another sweet one, 2many!!

That's a beauty!

Pat - I don't mind doing horn nocks. Just gotta get mating edges close before gluing on, then I switch to a single edge razor blade to scrape them down. I protect the wood with tape until I'm almost there, then most of my blending is done with foam nail buffer boards. By your own. Don't steal from the wife!

Very nice bow hairless wonder! I must have missed it while I was on vaca and away from PC's.

Thanks yall!  ;D The part that gets me is the drilling. I have a good drill bit, but it is easy for some reason for me to screw up the drilling part. I use a hand drill, maybe if I used a drill press it would be better I think? I want to get one anyway to use with a sanding drum... I tried to drill out like 10 at once the other day, and screwed a bunch of em up... I have to go slow and concentrate when I do it to get it right. I have been using a round file my wife got me at a antique store to blend em, it works great. It has a pointed tip on the end, which really gets in there without scratching the edges. I use it for all kinds of things, I love it. It is probably my second favorite file, after my farriers rasp.
