the pipe is held in my old work-bench and supported at the angle by a scrap piece of pine

the other end of the pipe is in an empty BBQ full of water. then i put tin foil over it which directed the steam into the pipe

there is coal under it to heat it up

after 2 hours i took it out and put it along two logs. then i placed paving slabs on top of it to give it some bend.
that is the main piece then i got out my tablesaw and started cutting thin strips of pine. more difficult than it sounds.
