One from the corner of shame
« on: June 29, 2013, 11:13:09 am »
Like most of you I have a corner with at least 6+ abandoned builds. After having some cracking while heating my last one and going to add it to the corner I decided enough is enough and some of these were going to be bows or firewood. I grabbed a hickory backed maple that  had bad glue lines. I chopped it down to 60" ntn and put some ipe overlays on. Stained it with a black /brown mixture to try to hide the glue lines. Finish out at 58lbs ay 26". I forgot how good a maple board can preform :)

Nice save, Paul!!
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Ephesians 2:8-9

That looks great Paul. You gotta be pleased with how that turned out, looks like it was worth the second effort after all.
