Great looking bow, I like the shape and the tips. The brace height is too high for me because you lose too much of your power stroke with a 26" draw.

Thanks for the comments John. About the brace height comment, I 've heard that before but I don't understand it. 45# at 26" is the same regardless of brace height. I know this to be fact because I have checked it on several bows.

I believe he is meaning that, a bow with a high brace..say 8" and one with a 5" brace, the  bow with the 5" brace, the string is in contact(pushing) with the string for and additional 3 inches over the 8" braced bow..In theory a faster arrow, with a smaller brace height...

That makes sense, but my brace is less than fistmele in the pic. I can't see that there would be much difference in say 5 1/2" brace verses a 5" brace.

Good looking bow! I really like the smooth transition from handle to limb and that complete lack of set speaks well of your tillering.  :)

Nicely done osage bow Jon. Looks like a smooth shooter there with that profile and tiller. I like those tip shapes also, well done.

You been a busy beaver aintcha Jon. Really nice work. Been too busy lately to get on and see what everyones been up to. I might have to get me one of them there belt sander things. Seems like it takes me forever to get a bow finished. Love everything about that bow. Keep em crankin.  Danny

Sorry about the comment about brace, it looks great. I am always trying to get the most speed out of my bows by getting the longest power stroke ( brace height to full draw) but then there is comfort, what feels best, I have a lower brace than most people.
Its a great bow you have there.
