dang, it took me forever, but i finally made some progress...

oh ya, does anyone know if you can use craft store tacky glue for sinew instead of hide glue???

Ahhhh, probably not. At least it will not give you the perfomance benifits of a sinew backing appied with hide glue.

With a hornbow, I would get access to sinew or hide to make a good animal glue, a hornbow is a very technical project.

 How on earth are those  siyahs attached!!?? I can't see them holding up like that.

What did you wrap the handle ,and the siyahs with?
Are you going to sinew over the wrappings?

i cut a small dovetail to attach the siyahs then glued them with hide glue
and wrapped them with epoxied artificial sinew.
