I blew up a linen-backed red oak bow... massive grain violations and a hinge combined to make a ka-boom.
So I made a crossbow from the shorter leftover.Had to re-tiller, as the origional taper would probably result in a problem... e.g one limb totally not bending
Its not exactly fancy. Its a hillbilly crossbow- it kicks like a mule... It has a notch with a hole drilled in it for a string holder(retention?)and you push a piece of broken arrow up for a trigger. I am going to mount a proper trigger to push the thing up, and maybe spray paint it black. Redwood stock.
here it is drawn, for some unusual reason it won't let me upload the braced pic.
