Great points! I love the color of that obsidian. I have been doing the same thing, I hunt with simple triangular points,(madison hamilton ect'). and I have a whole load of them made from all different materials. Everything from high grade georgetown and pedernales, to some really low grade chert from somewhere in central TX. Even some glass ones, and one quartzite. Thats the cool thing about simple triangles, you cane make them from just about anything. A lot of mine are from waste flakes that would otherwise be thrown away.
