YEW scrap?

I'm looking to make some footed arrows.  YEW footings.  anybody have lumps of log or something from the ends that is long enough?  say 9" in length? and thick enough I can get some 1/2" square pieces from?

I've got some yew scraps and pieces.  It is not clear grain though and might be difficult to plane into footings.   Still it's yours if you want.   Ron

Yes yes and yes.  I've got a GREAT plane.  I grind them with a sanding drum jig then clean up with razor sharp planes that take shaving that can be read through. 

Don't usually have a problem.
