New addition to the arsenal, Red Oak 50#@ 25”
« on: June 04, 2013, 08:29:36 pm »
After my trade bow was sent out, nothing in my arsenal felt like it added up to the one I sent out, so I decided I needed to get another one going asap. This one is red oak 66 ¼“ N2N. 50#@ 25” Maple/bamboo tip and handle overlays. Buffalo leather grip and embedded 303 shell in the handle. FF String w/rabbit fur silencers. Started out life as a solid oak handrail, but was meant for something more. Definitely my best shooter at present.  Any suggestions on a name? Leaning toward “303” but I’m open to ideas.

Thanks for looking!

Cool!  The inletted case head looks nice!  If it was an elb, .303 British would be fitting.  However with an elb you would have to use it for a strike plate.  Sweet bow nonetheless!  Josh

That is one sweet bow. Love the little details, the nocks and the inlaid shell.  Well done

I'm liking everything about this bow. Tips, tiller, riser combo. The unbraced profile really caught my eye for some reason. Fine craftsmanship! Makes me want to get off my butt and make a red oak bow. Thanks for sharing.

Nice tiller and finish, gotta love that inlay!  303.  I'm guessing that's a British Caliber from Gun Doc's comment.  If it shoots good it shoots good, and if it looks good too, well then gall darn :)  Well done sirs
