24 inch set
« on: June 10, 2013, 01:31:20 am »
Since these arrows are shorter than I am able to reliably test myself, I am kinda nervous as they are going south where I hope they will see extensive use (and maybe even get bloody).  A cool dozen, pine arrows weighing in at 299 grain plus minus 10 grains, plus 125 grain field points on 9 of them, the remaining three taper ready for future broadhead arming.  60# spine (due to their shortened stature) with 2 white and 1 barred helical fletchings.  I sure hope they fly straight.

Russ I have shot these arrows out of several of my short bows. They fly good and penetration is better than what I thought they would be being so light. I have a 46" Locust D/R that is 42# @ 24" that likes them best. I had to quit shooting them more than one at a time because I was afraid of tearing the fletches off they grouped so well.

I am happy you like them.  Now go kill something big :-)

Remember, you can tweak the spine by playing with the point weight.  Just heat the points and the glue will release.
