Pink and black graduation set

My niece is graduating high school and I wanted to make her a bow and arrow set for a gift. She goes to a primitive shoot every summer and usually wins her age class even though she never practices. She is one of those naturally good shooters. While I was making this bow for her I needed to make sure the draw weight was low enough for her. I told her I was making a suprise bow for my wife and I had her test it out a few times to make sure it was right for a girl to shoot it. She asked if maybe one day I could make her a bow. She had no idea the one I was making was for her. After talking to my sister I decided to go with pink and black colors. I used two blue racer skins that are solid black. One I traded to Matt Wirwicki last year and then traded back for it at the Classic. The stave is HHB that I traded Youngbowyer? for last fall. The handle wrap came from DVS. I think I got the pink bow string material from Wildman several years ago. I braided 3 strands of that together to use for the stitching on the handle. Buckeye Guy gave me the super pink dye. That stuff goes a long way. I have pink everywhere in my garage now. The nock overlays are ebony keys from an old Steinway piano. I don't remember exactly how long it is. I'm thinking around 61". I can check it tomorrow when I get home. It is finished with 7 coats of tru-oil. I made her up some arrows to go with it. I put some snake skin wraps on them. That was my first time trying that. The feathers are dyed with a koolaid/RIT dye mixture. I like how everything turned out. I'm giving it to her Saturday at her party. I hope she likes it.
Sorry for all the pics. It was very photogenic.

That's pretty cool man! I really like those contrasting colors. They really pop. The handle looks good to.

Nice job, Clint. Sweet colors. That black and pink looks great together. I bet she will be blown away. Not a bad uncle, I'd say!!
