Here are some pics of my 4th bow ever...there are at least 14 piles of lumber that tried to become bows but quit on me. This one is a Holmegaard style bow, 66" OAL, 2.5" wide at fades for 16" to 9/16" tips. Hickory board bow with Walnut board handle and tip. Draws 51 pounds at 26". There's a good amount of grain runoff on the upper limb so I don't expect it to last a lifetime, but man, does it shoot well!  It blows my other 3 out of the water. I didn't understand what people meant when they called their bow "quiet".  I do now.  It's really close to center shot and my shot grouping changed dramatically. I love shooting this thing!  Man, I hope it lasts so I can hunt with it in the fall...thanks for looking!

Looks good, I especially like the paint, but you do seam to have a lot of excess mass in your overlays

Nice work there Brian! Way to keep at it. I have burned up a lot of good wood to get a few shootable bows but I think I am gettin better  :-\..slowly

Nice enough bow! Please be careful with how much centershot arrow shelf you're cutting into the grip. You have built up the riser and that's good, but you've left it very skinny at your cut out. Also, how's the hand shock? I'm guessing it has a fair bit with that amount of outer limb and tip weight. Nice art work on the back!

Thanks everyone! I figure since this is a community of bowbuilders, I thought I'd try to contibute once rather than just take everyone's great advice. No way I could've made a shooter without reading this forum constantly. 

 Newindian: there's a bit of excess mass on the tips for sure, but I also have no idea really what I am doing...I am certain the entire non-working limb could've been lighter in terms of mass, but this is my first Holmie.

ADP: Believe it or not, there's very little handshock. Of my working bows, this has probably the least, it's very smooth shooting. One reason why is that there's just under 1 3/4" set which probably helps reduce the hand shock a bit.
