Happy Memorial Day every one.  And I too want to thank all the men and women of uniform, past and present for the service.  And also to all the first responders that watch over us all in times of need.

I'll throw my appreciation in also. We take for granite our freedom sometimes.

Seems lately many of the old vets are wearing caps with their millitary service displayed.  Makes me realize how many of us served and now I look at them and am reminded that all my life our freedom has depended on them.  No way to tell the ones serving now how we appreciate their protection!  Joe

Can't say thank you enough for all they have done for us.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
         In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
         In Flanders fields.

Though man and machine are torn  asunder,
You will hear our battle cry

Through smoke and flames that burn with fury,
You will hear our battle cry

Through mortars that fall like rain,
You will hear our battle cry

As we fall never to rise,
You will hear our battle cry

As our souls fly ever so high never forget those who gave their lives,
Always and evermore you will hear our battle cry
Once a soldier always a soldier. Hoooah!

Thanks to all of you who keep us safe!!
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

Ephesians 2:8-9
