new bow for marshall shoot
« on: May 20, 2013, 07:56:44 pm »
In the last year I have given away 5 bows and a few weeks ago I realized that I need a new bow for the shoot. Osage 58 1/2 ntn, mild reflex/ deflex a few wiggles and wind checks. 49 lbs @26". The skins I had were short they stop about 10" from tip. I dyed the tips brown ( mainly because I had a few burn marks that were driving me nuts). Antler tips and a leather lace wrapped handle.  Hopefully I do not embarrass myself to bad with my POOR shooting. Maybe one of you guys can donate a few minutes to me and critique my shooting. Thanks for looking.

That's a really terrific looking bow. Well done man. No way you can embarrass yourself with that in your hand!

Looks like you've done a great job. Maybe I will see it this weekend if I make it up there. I'd be proud to call it my bow!

Nice job, Paul. Your form looks good from here!! :)

Nice looking bow, Paul!  Can't help you on the shooting.  Unfortunately I'm probably a better bow maker than bow shooter.  I'll see you at Marshall!

well, the only problem I see with that fantastic bow...
It's not mine. ;D

As for shooting, maybe it's just me, but it looks like your feet are spaced out farther apart, in the full draw pic? I know the pic doesn't really show, but it sort of looks like it. I always find that with my feet shoulder width apart, I shoot my best.
But what do I know... ::)

thank you for the kind words everyone.  I must add this picture is not a representation of how I shoot ,I took it myself on a self timer and I find myself doing weird things to fit within the lens. hey Greg if you really want to see it  how about you hook up with me on Thursday  and take a ride to Michigan with me . the passenger seat my van has your name written all over it  >:D
