braided bow string

I was thinking of doing a braided string from on end to the other. Has anyone else done this? If so does it work good? I was going to make one with a Flemish loop on one end and then braid the whole thing. It will be a 12 strand, 4 in each bundle. Thanks for any info.

I'd worry about the transition from a twist to a braid and also the shape of the braid being flat. Also braiding is going to use a lot more string adding unnecessary mass. I'm sure it would look cool though.

I have wondered about a four strand round braid.
but have never tried it for a string...

A braided string takes a while to make and will be flat as Ryoon said. You can twist it up tight and solve this problem, much like twisting a rawhide string, however. I made one once but wasn't happy with the way it felt on my fingers.

How to Cook It? 200° for 24hrs then 275° to 500° for 4hrs (depending on type), Cool for 12hr

I have tried it and it works ok ,it stretches more initialy so prestrech it hard.
also the serving is hard to get round and even, it also takes a LOT longer than making a flemish witch i think is better anyway.
With multiple colors it looks cool i have to admit
