CA for fletching
« on: April 27, 2014, 04:46:47 pm »
I just made a half dozen arrows and used CA to glue the feathers on. I made a jig that would hold the feathers in position and just three drops of CA and they were instantly glued. Three feathers on in less than a minute. Then I wrapped front and back with thread and sealed it with CA. Is this going to come back and bite me somehow? They seem solid.

...................   funny how one gets into research.  Every day I look at bows and arrows online.   I just find bows to be works of art with hundreds of variations its enough to make your head spin.
That fletching jig looks great.  Hope to see your new bow & arrows soon.

I use it with a spray accelerator.
Lakeland, Florida
If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

I used superthin. No accelerator. Glued the feathers as fast as it glues fingers.
