Pistol Crossbows?
« on: May 14, 2013, 06:05:08 pm »
Well... I have a 50 pound pistol crossbow. steel prod, mostly metal. the only thing thats not is the main stock, but its HARD plastic and its well over an inch thick. Overall its well made. Cannot recall company that made it, but its simple and it has survived everything I throw at it... Waxed dacron string.
I meant to ask if it would be possible to make one... from wood ONLY. No steel.

They are fun, I have a 70# Barnett.
Lakeland, Florida
If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

How does one make one? I am thinking lam bamboo for prod.
Or elm..
I have a #90 board bow with questionable back grain that I could use as a prod... its oak.

How long do i need to make  a 'boo prod to draw #100 and 10 inches?
how wide?
