Onondaga Dalton
« on: May 07, 2013, 08:23:03 pm »
I got home from the classic late sunday evening an made it till tues evening with no knapping. A farmer about 10 miles away brought me a few pcs of flint from one of his fields. Two of three pcs were something other than flint but the last one was a fist size pc of Onondaga that looked pretty good. I started reducing an came up with this nice little Dalton. The closet out crop of this type of material is 95 miles north of here so I am assuming this was pushed in to this area by glacier, I find very small pc of Onondago in the fields but they are real small most of the time. Thanks for lookin , Bob
