Reagrding tiller, I'd agree with you that the tips (outer 1/3) could maybe work a bit more.
I re-tillered one yesterday for a guy who'd struggled for a year trying to master 60# but needed it dropped to 50#
I reviewed the pics on my blog and decided the outers could come round a bit more, got it down to 50# and the tiller looked a bit better too :laugh:
I got a demijohn of cider and a bottle of wine for my trouble so I'sh better nop shnoop by bowsh for a while (hic).

I'll narrow the tips a bit then.  They're still slightly wider than they need to be, as I was making sure that with all the straightening and lateral bend I had a good string line.  I'll narrow them and thin them some, and have another look!

If the sun behaves itself today I should be able to get some better quality pictures.

Oh. You drew a BIG circle.
I drew a circle with a diameter equel to that of the bow. perhaps that is why it looks round in the handle.
Sorry bout that, I usually tend to think its too round in the handle.
