I had the day off work so I spent a good chunk of the day working on leather. Going to be helping teach a bow tillering seminar in June and figured some of the students might be needing some gear to go with their new bows.
I've been wanting to use up some of the beaver tails I got from a coworker this winter, so I tried my hand at doing some inlay work. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, but wish I hadn't used such a big punch for the thread holes, the gaping holes that it left don't really do it for me... Now I know better for next time!
Anyway, I figured some of you guys might like a peek, so here it is. It's not quite done, but I just applied some neatsfoot oil and have to let that marinate overnight before I can seal it and finish it off.
