Prarie Bowyer: The sturgeon skins actually came from a trade I made a long, long time ago in this PA forum, but for the life of me I can't remember who I traded with (or I'd give some credit).
Cameroo: they were kind of a tan/grey and a bit mottled, so I used some diluted Fiebing's light brown to liven them up a bit.
Poggins: They came salted so I can't give much explanation beyond that in this case, but when I use carp I just skin, gently scale (i actually "pluck" each scale by hand so the pattern isn't destroyed), flesh and air dry. Works great every time.
Paleryder: The limbs were a hair under 7/16" (so maybe 13/32" ?)and were consistent throughout (although I did do a little belly scraping to get the tiller just so). Thanks for watching my YouTube channel as well! Glad to hear it helped
. Also, if the run offs are in a non-bending portion of the bow you should be okay, just be sure of the no bend.
Paul F.: Ooh! Flipped tipped hickory. Looking forward to seeing that! Should be very cool!
Thanks to everyone else for the great comments and kind words
