Hey, Cowboy
I live in Saskatchewan, Canada. Archery season starts here Sept 1st., and runs until Oct 31st. We've got some really BIG deer here. Big bodied (with the cold wimters), and racks to match. I've seen 2 record class deer this year, one whitetail, and a mulie. The whitetail was a 10 point 150 class buck, and he came past at about 40 yards... I gave it some serious thought, even started to pull back the string a bit, but I let him walk. 30 yards is my max comfort zone. The mulie was a HUGE 4 X 4, and I kicked him up out of some willows, while stalking some does. Needless to say, after he jumped up 5 yards in front of me, I had to go home and change my shorts!
Even though I haven't poked a hole in anything yet, it's been a good season. Come on up, anytime you'd like. The Hanson Buck (World record typical whitetail) was shot 30 mins from my home.
