allright, dang it!.....now I have to get me one of those Veritas Dowel cutters!
has anyone tried putting shoots through it?
when i'm working on things my ancestors worked, singing the songs my ancestors sang, dancing the same dances, speaking the same language, only then  I feel connected to the land, THIS land, where my ancestors walked for thousands of years...

That one is a couple hundred bucks Tom - Sasquatch,  you said you got yours for $30 - is that the "Veritas Dowel and Tenon Cutter"?

no, the one pictured is 30$
if you only get one of them. its not a tenon cutter either. the picture of the dowel cutter should be exactly as shown. but they do offer a package at the top of the list for around 120 or something.

If you really wanted to get into it in a big way, you could buy the one with changeable bushings for a few hundred. They have specific inserts for 11/32"  23/64" and 5/16"  .It would take a lot of arrows to pay for that one! around 10-12 dozen I figure. Even I don't loose that many arrows ;)

I just recently bought the one with changable bushings and got the 11/32 adapter. For the 11/32 bushing and the main veritas it will run about 250.00, I have not had the chance to use it but I build alot of arrows and just got tired of spending 35+ dollars for arrows. I will let you all know how it works!  :)
