I may be pushing the envelope a bit, but here she is.
I got the idea for this bow after seeing some of James Parkers' take-downs at last years classic. Then, I was shooting the course with the "Mississippi bunch", (Bud, Dave, Clay and Malcolm) and we were talking about all building one and bringing it to this years classic. Yours better be done Dave!
Anyway, I got it done last week. 11.5" Purpleheart and Ipe riser, same on tips and base of the limbs, which are...you guessed it....osage. 64" ntn, 50#@27". The finish leaves something to be desired, but this bow is a great performer! No handshock, no noise and FAST and smooth.
I know that this type of bow isn't everyone's cup of tea but I figure I had to attempt one of these at some point, so I thought..............what the heck! Thanks for looking
Cody
P.S. Would you guys consider this a self bow?
