Goose Head Club
« on: April 21, 2013, 08:12:36 pm »
Here is pictures of a club I made. The head is stone, not too sure what type, pecked and ground to shape a little. Left it roughed pecked. The handle is of alder that had a bulge in it at ground leave so I set the rock in a hallow I made for it. Hafted it with PPG and rawhide. A guy at the Glass Buttes Knapp-In said it looked like a goose head and gave me two red agate beads for eyes but haven't had a chance to put them on it yet.

Very nice. There is not many ground artifacts in central Tx. The time it must take to make one has to be quite a bit longer than knapping.

That is really nice looks like it could put a goose egg on somebody's head.

Thanks for the replies. Trapper Rob: Yes, I sure wouldn't want to be one the receiving end of that one.
