plant id please

Not sure what this is but I found it while taking a walk through the marshes near my house harvesting some cattail shoots. It very smooth and almost plastic feeling. It kinda squeaks when you rub it between your fingers.

Yea guess its skunk cabbage it really stinks almost like rotten meat
