deer jawbone knife

I didn't forge the blade.
the jawbone is from my first bow killed (selfbow) deer from a couple of years
ago.
Knife isn't done but it's getting there- need to apply some sort of finish to the bone
and make a sheath for it.

Nice, I have a deer jaw a freind gave me ( he found it on a hike) I have been wondering how to turn it into a knife.  Thanks,  SS

looks good! i've made several with deer jawbone handles and i've found that tru-oil works exellent for a finish, i usually use 6-8 couts with a light sanding with 1200 grit between every 3rd coat
