Del's Belly patch Technique

This is nothing particularly revolutionary, but one of the guys here asked me to blog up the next patch I did to show how I do it.
I can't remember who it was :-[
I think it was a long tall short fat thin bloke with straight hair and curly teeth, walked with a lisp.
But hey that could be any of you guys ;)

The only odd bit is I've heat treated the patch to match the bow, this of course changed the shape of the patch so I had to re work it some.

Thanks for the tip...if it was me that stave would have found its self in the scrap bin after a few colorful expressions of disappointment  >:D
