osage stave with lighten streak

I have seen a few of these but its rare,this one goes the full length of stave

I see these red streaks in alot of osage. I have been told it is due to some kind of stress in the trees early life, like heavy winds. Im not sure but sometimes if they go at a bad angle they can cause the bow to break, a long straight line like that should be ok.
