Has anyone ever made a hat from a buckskin? I have a piece that is a little stiffer and thought maybe it I could make a nice brimmed hat from it (mountain man-ish, not baseball hat looking). Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

Oh, that has serious potential!
You could wet form the crown and work the brim to be somewhat floppy.

I've seen a rawhide hat that looks like a bucket hat type of thing. It was pretty cool
