Skinned 'em!

I hand planed the last dozen of the spruce blanks I had from beadman and got 9 of them to spine where I needed. These arrows are coming out of my bow pretty stinking good and I am havin a lot of fun practicing with them. It got me to thinking that I outta dress em up some, since they are doin what I ask of em. So I dug into my snake skin bucket and pulled out all my scraps.




I have rat snake, bull, gardner, and timber rattler on these and I really like how they turned out. Thanks for looking!

Those look awesome.  Great job!  I would like to try that one day but by the time I get them to a shootable stage I'm tired of messin' with them.

 I believe these will transition into elk hunting arrows for Colorado this fall. That's why I went with plastic nocks, and metal points.

Very delicately!  :laugh:

It was a matter of cutting straight lines, fitting them and then after sizing and laying them on the shaft I would take a sharp knife and cut the final seam and peal off the extra before pushing the final seam together. Just make sure your knife is sharp so it slices instead of years the skins.
