Breaking in another bow
« on: April 03, 2013, 11:22:45 pm »
Over spring break I've made quite a few oceanspray kids bows
I love breaking these little killers in. They make me feel like a kid!

Were you an aboriginal as a kid! is that Raffi in that background?  Gotta love those ocean spray kids bows.  It grows those kids staves like nothing else.
"The bow is the old first lyre,
the mono chord, the initial rune of fine art
The humanities grew out from archery as a flower from a seed
No sooner did the soft, sweet note of the bow-string charm the ear of genius than music was born, and from music came poetry and painting and..." Maurice Thompso

Fun stuff! I love the little oceanspray bows that I made. I totally know what you mean about shooting them. Almost every time I go to the range with my 3 year old I take a few shots with his little bow. Every one is always amazed that I can plant them in the target with that thing at 20 or 30 yards. Fun as hell.

I want to make one for myself to shoot in the house. Maybe some suction cup points or something :)
