Couple o' Shootin Sticks

I do a few different styles and really like a minimalist approach

Hickory back, unknown species belly, ash riser
66" o/a
64" n-n

braced to 7"

Nice bows!!! They're both beauties. When you say unknown belly wood, what exactly do you mean? If you made these, don't you know what kind of wood you used? Did you use clear epoxy or glass over the lams?

Hey... did you shoot that door behind those bows with a shotgun, or has it been an arrow back stop??

I'm not positive on the belly wood because it was in amongst a bundle of planks I bought at a garage sale that was labeled "exotic wood". It looks and feels a lot like canary to me, but it doesn't smell like the canary I've worked with in the past. Canary has a very distinctive odor that was absent with this stuff. I just didn't want to say without being certain.

No glass or epoxies on any of my bows. Just oils and stains.

I used to make bows out of wood and fiberplastics years ago, but I've moved as far away from synthetics as I can get in the last few years. I've admitted that I have an addiction to TBIII, though, and that's not likely to resolve itself any time soon ;)

The shed makes a great backstop

So... which is it? Shotgun or arrows?
I admit to an addiction to TB3 myself. It's a wonderful glue. Very strong and more or less waterproof.

Wow, some exceptional work here!

That static recurve has an Asiatic feel to it, with the tips you used, look like syrrahs (or however you spell it).
