Accidental Rock Run

It was a fairly nice evening yesterday and we decided to go on a little nature hike to a new area that our students had been telling us about near our home. It was supposed to be a nice family outing on a Good Friday
As we were taking some pics of ourselves and the area we were noticing a lot of pieces of chert. We started following the stream and found larger pieces. Some of them are great and others may be great with some heating. Most of them are small but we did find a couple of nice chunks. We only searched for about 30-40 minutes and this is what we kept
Looking forward to working some of the rock and heating the rest. If it heats well we may have just found a new honey hole!!!! Not sure what it is......I am sure Tracy and you other pros can fill in that kinda stuff! I just think it is really cool to happen upon a spot like that

I think that's the kind of accident we all wouldn't mind having nice haul.
