That is some nice looking wood.  I'll pass on the same advice I got when I posted some pic's last night of some bodark I have.  Pappy and Cowboy recommended wood glue like TiteBond because it dries clear so you can see the end grain.

These are the photo's of Jeremy/ Woodbow1 and my expedition last Sunday to hunt the osage tree.

pic1 = Danny aka Sidewinder
pic2  = Jeremy aka Woodbow1
pic3 = the matriarch of the Osage tree "tribe" refusing to give up her throne
Pic4 =  here she is again before divine intervention brought her down to a manageable level
pic5 = these logs are about 16-18" diameter. Straight of grain with about 1/8" -5/16" wide growth rings. She appears to be about 25-30yrs old
pic6 =  Here the splits are resting awaiting their next assignment. I can hear them calling "pick me pick me, I want to become a lethal, silent hunting weapon"

Just a note.... a limited few will become available for sale or trade once they are taken down to stave size splits I will post more on the trade section when I'm ready to do it.....Danny

Tracy, Woodbow1 posted the pics earlier and they were too small to get good definition so he pulled them and is reformatting them and will post them again tomorrow. Check back then for a great view of some beautiful wood....Danny

I'm not too worried about it,  things seem to work themselves out.  By the way I will get some of that Kay County out to you soon,

Ridge,  we sealed the ends within twenty minutes of cutting.  We used polyuerthane because that is what we had.  We put   2-3 coats on them on site and I belive Danny put some more on them the next day
